By understanding board dynamics, will enable to maximize the contribution of everyone, leading to an effective board decision making. Effective board dynamics is crucial for organizational success.

There are a variety of drivers for the growing interest in board dynamics in governance in recent years. such as human capital, talent management, organisational culture, employee engagement, diversity, resilience and well-being; the shifts in approaches to organisational leadership; the increased focus on organisational ethics; the tentative inclusion in global corporate governance codes of principles that acknowledge behavioural factors; and the shift away from a simple focus on structural factors in board research.

The Institute of Chartered Corporate Secretaries Sri Lanka (ICCSSL) has strategically partnered with “The Institute of Certified Management Accountants of Australia & New Zealand”, recognized as “CMA (ANZ)” a global accounting body with increasing membership in Asia-Pacific countries such as Sri Lanka, India, Singapore, Malaysia, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong, the Middle East, and Africa.  

The   Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Kapila Dodamgoda – Regional Director of ICMA Australia, Zafraz Lameer – President of ICCSSL and Wasantha Karunayake – Chief Executive Officer of ICCSSL on Thursday 07^th November 2024.

This collaboration aims to provide an opportunity for   ICCSSL Members to become Members of CMA (ANZ) after a critical evaluation, and CMA members together with passed finalists to become qualified Chartered Secretary and a Member of the ICCSSL.

Having achieved this significant milestone ICCSSL will continue  its diversified  professional educational programs in Company Secretarial and to high-ranking professionals dedicated to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance, effective operations, compliance, risk management and management for those serving in various capacities, such as chairpersons, executive directors, senior executives, managers, and primarily as company secretaries, contributing significantly to both private and public sector organizations, including the Board of Directors, customers, financial regulators, stockbrokers, shareholders, auditors, statutory bodies, and state officials.
